WHERE TO PARK: Monthly
parking customers must park on the level to which they have been
assigned. Parkers who violate this rule may be subject to tickets
and/or towed. Monthly parkers are permitted and encouraged to park
on the lower levels after 5:00 p.m. weekdays and all day on
weekends and holidays.
OVERFLOW:
If you are
unable to locate a parking space in your assigned location, please
park in the nearest Preferred Parking lot and notify our office.
The BB&T Center garage layout is a double helix. If you do not
see a parking spot as you enter, please continue up until you
locate a crossover or exit. This will start your decent on the
"B" side of the deck, which typically has additional
spaces available.
|
|
|
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Your
permit is valid 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, exclusive of all
NFL home games. (Note: When and if weeknight games are scheduled,
monthly parkers will be permitted access to the garage during the
day, but will be required to vacate the garage prior to the start
of the game.) Vehicles remaining on lot during an event will be
charged the posted event rate.

|
|
|
CODED VEHICLE STICKER:
The Management Office will affix a color-coded vinyl sticker to
the rear glass of each vehicle listed on the application. Each
sticker will correspond to and identify the parking facility
levels to which the cardholder has been assigned.
|
|
|
|
DISPLAY: Cars parked
in monthly spaces without a proper coded vehicle sticker displayed
are subject to citations, and/or towed. Preferred Parking Service,
Inc. will not accept any responsibility associated with towing or
wheel-locking any monthly customers' car that is not displaying a
valid permit.
|
|
|
|
PARKING SPACES:
Your
parking privilege is valid for one space. Vehicles taking up two
spaces will be required to pay for the extra space. Nonpayment for
double parking will result in fines. Currently the garage has two
different size spaces available. Diagonal marked spots are for
oversized vehicles and spaces that are perpendicular are for
midsize to compact vehicles. Please be respectful of others and
park in the appropriate size space. If you are unable to find a
space that fits your vehicle, please call the parking office and
let them know of the situation.
|
|
|
|
SIMULTANEOUS USE:
Use

|
CARPOOLING/MULTI

PERMIT/ACCESS CARD:
Each monthly parking card is a "recycling" card that
prevents one user from passing the card back to another user. The
card operates gates in conjunction with a computerized Cancel Card
System. This system enables the Parking Office to cancel or
invalidate cards that are lost, stolen or discontinued by reason
of nonpayment or other violation of the rules. The Cancel Card
System will be used in the control of monthly parkers who violate
the rules and procedures established for the facility.
WHAT IF I FORGET MY
ACCESS CARD? If a parker forgets to bring his/her access card,
please pull a regular parking ticket and sign the back of the
ticket. Upon leaving, present the ticket to the cashier to exit at
no charge. Each parker is limited to two (2) passes a month. If
more are needed, you must pay the daily rate.
WHAT IF I LOOSE MY
ACCESS CARD? Please notify the BB&T Center Parking office
immediately if your card is lost or stolen. We will de-activate
the card immediately upon notification. Parkers may purchase a
replacement card for $25.00.
WHAT IF THE GATE
DOESN'T OPEN? If a parking card fails to operate the entrance
gate, the cardholder should take a regular parking ticket and call
the office or stop by in person to report the problem. Upon
leaving, the cardholder should sign his or her name and card
number on the ticket and present the card and ticket to the
cashier to exit at no charge.

VIOLATIONS:
Monthly
parkers who violate any of the parking rules will result in a
notice and/or towing and the possible suspension of the violator's
parking access card. A fee of $10 will be charged for restoration
of suspended access cards. Preferred Parking Service, Inc. will
not accept any responsibility associated with towing or
wheel-locking any monthly customers' vehicles that are in
violation of the parking rules and regulations.
Please observe the
following:
1.
ONE-WAY TRAFFIC
ONLY is permitted. For the safety of others, as well as your own,
please follow directional arrows throughout the facility.
2.
Observe posted speed limits.
3. Park between the lines in one
space only. Violators will incur a $15.00 fine and possible
suspension of access card if offense is repeated.
4. Do not back
into a parking space. Curbs are designed for the protection of car
fronts; parking attendants use license numbers in their work; and
only one-way traffic is permitted. Violation will incur a $15.00
fine and possible suspension of access card if offense is
repeated.
5. Do not park in special reserved and handicap spaces
or in no-parking zones, unless authorized to do so. Violators will
incur a $50.00 fine if parked in a reserved space and a $250.00
fine if parked in a handicap and not displaying the appropriate
hang tag or special plate. Automatic suspension of access card
will occur if offense is repeated.
6. Park on your assigned level.
Violators will incur a $15.00 fine and possible suspension of
access card if offense is repeated.
7. Request for information: If
a parker fails to register a new vehicle with the parking office,
a request for information notice will be placed on the windshield.
There is no charge for the initial request. If, however, you do
not respond to the initial request, a citation will be issued with
a $15.00 fine and possible suspension of access card if additional
tickets are issued.
8. Falsifying or purposefully withholding
vehicle registration: Any monthly parker who withholds information
on any vehicle they are parking in the BB&T Center garage will
receive a citation with a $15.00 fine and immediate suspension of
your access card.
All parking facility
rules and procedures will be strictly enforced. Parking notices
will be placed on windshields stating the violation and the amount
of the fine. Those parkers who violate the same rule a second
time, or who commit serious violations, will have their monthly
parking cards canceled or their vehicle towed from the facility at
the owner's expense.
FINES: Fines must be
paid within seven (7) calendar days. If seven (7) to fourteen (14)
calendar days have lapsed, there will be an additional $10.00 fee
added to the original amount. If more than fourteen (14) days
lapse without payment, an additional $35.00 fee will be added to
the original amount and suspension of your access card will occur.
APPEALS: If you wish
to appeal a citation, please send an e-mail within five (5)
calendar days to: ppsnotices@preferredparking.com or by mail to
